My name is Gala, I’m a recent visual communications graduate from the University of Technology Sydney. My work ranges from graphic design to portraiture photography, to concert photography, to illustration, to branding, to video, to so much more - it’s always expanding as I’m always trying new things. My work is heavily inspired by the concept of identity and primarily takes from my connection to music, narrative, and cinema.
Over the past few years, I’ve experimented with various mediums, styles, and concepts to create work that adds some magic to a mix of ‘dark edge’ and childlike joy. I’m unafraid to take on new challenges and constantly seek ways to solve them creatively. I’m always learning from my process and research as well as from collaborative conversations to create work that successfully introduces audiences to new worlds grounded in real-life experiences with real-life people within and behind them.
